In order to complete this successfully, the technology that we used as a network included the computer because we had to find some lexiles of the books that were going to be donated. We also used google spreadsheet to record all the books that were going to be donated. I would be interested in donating books because to a different classroom.

  5. My overall impression of donating books was fun because we got to see how excited the students and teacher were because they got new books added to their library in their classroom.

    In order to complete this successfully, the technology that we used as a network included using Google Drive to create a spreadsheet of all the books that were being donated to the 5th grade class. As well as going on the SRC Book Expert to find the lexile and SRC points.

    I would be interested in donating books, again, to a different classroom later on.

  11. My overall impression of donating books was that it was really generous and beneficial for our community. Students in our community now can raise up their literacy levels since they are provided with more books in their classrooms.
    In order to complete this successfully, the technology that we used as a network included using a computer and possibly a phone. We used book expert to find out the lexiles of the books and Google to find out other information about them. We also used our Google email to email the teachers when we were going to go deliver the books. If they didn't respond some of us also called their class to ask them.

  13. My overall impression of donating books was fun because we were thanking the classroom for donating in the first place and with helping us they got something in return. Also seeing how happy the teacher was when she received the box of books because we were helping increase her library.

    In order to complete this successfully, the technology that we used as a network included Google Drive to create our spreadsheet to put all the books' information to help the teacher and the students to see all the books that were being donated to them. Also we used SRC Book Expert to help us find the lexile and SRC points for the books being donated.

    I would be interested in donating books, again, to a different classroom because it helps them increase their lexile levels and also find new interesting books that they would want to read later on in the future.

  14. My overall impression of donating books was joy and achievement as i saw how the little kids actually loved the books they saw and were receiving.I forgot how it felt like to give back to people, especially little kids.

    3.I would be interested in donating books, again, to a different classroom because when we delivered them all the kids right away found books they liked and wanted to have them. To be able to help another class get a higher lexile level would be great.

  22. My overall impression of donating books at first was that this was just another assignment in class. Then after I saw how happy the students were about getting the books, it made me feel proud about what we were doing and overall loved that we did this project. It made me feel happy and I hope that we do this again.

    I would be interested in donating books, again, to a different classroom because even after the initial book fair ended were still contributing to kids and classmates that can now have books that could benefit them in their lexile and help increase their grade.

  31. 1) My overall impression of donating books was it was an incredible experience. We were able to choose books for younger students and I believe they were very grateful the day we gave the books to them.

  32. 1) My overall impression of donating books to students is great because I think it's nice to give something to someone else that might use it. I also makes me feel happy because I am doing something nice for other people with out asking for anything in return.

    3) I would be glad to donate more books for one more class because it is really nice to see them smile when we give them books they look like little kids on Christmas when they open they're presents, and it is nice to know that they appreciate all the hard work put into the task.

  33. My overall impression of donating books was good. I really enjoyed doing that so the people that we donated to have more books to read so they can meet those goal points.

    I would not be interested in donating books again because I don't want to have to go through that trouble because some books don't have lexiles and points. Also, some of my network doesn't get all the information for books and they took credit for my work.

  34. My impression of donating books to students was overall a great experience. I liked the fact that we got to talk to the students and, how they had lots of questions and we able to answer them was great. I really enjoyed it.

    I would be really interested in donating books again to the students because I really enjoyed seeing their reactions to the situation at the time. But, yes I enjoyed it and I would do it again.

The reason this is how I feel is because I now know deep inside that I am doing something good for our community and something good for our younger generations. We were showing them that even the littlest of things can change our people's perspectives. I would be interested in donating books, again, to a different classroom since it is giving back to the people that has helped us in many ways, without the books, we would have never been able to get money to help students in Costa Rica and now they have a high school being built.

  51. My overall impression of donating books was an exciting way of actually selling books. Many people were there like kids and many moms. I actually think we did a good job of selling things. I loved looking at the kids being excited to actually by books.

    I would be interested in donating books again to a different class room. I would because I actually think it is a great thing of participating and helping out. Besides in return we get to help out our community or people that are in need.

My overall impression of donating books was surprising because once we told the 6th graders in Mr. Carbonell's class that the books were for them they were really excited and everyone wanted to get a book right away. After seeing how happy they were I felt good that we gave some books to them.

We helped out the little kids at mainland which made me very happy because we are helping them on increasing their lexile and we are the ones that are making this happen which was very beautiful.   60. My overall impression of donating books was that it was totally a GOOD EXPERIENCE TO SEE KIDS GOING CRAZY FOR READING. In order tom complete it successfully i used src scholastic book expert. It told everything that i need to now about that certain book. I would be interested in doing this project again because it was great to see students having the opportunity to read and have a better education.

Our e-mails helped us communicate and share certain information with each other and other people we needed to get in contact with. Then we used a shared document so we can all work on loging on all our books we were giving.
